String of Pro-Life Victories in Kansas

In the not so distant past, the Kansas legislature passed four bills which would have regulated abortion clinics. In each instance, then Gov. Kathleen Sebelius vetoed the proposed legislation.

Fortunately for Kansans, Sebelius, along with her anti-life views, left the governorship to serve as Secretary of Health and Human Services in the Obama administration. As the Topeka Capital-Journal has reported, recently elected Gov. Sam Brownback has gladly signed legislation which requires abortion clinic inspections, outlaws “webcam abortions” and all abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, and defunds Planned Parenthood.

Without question, pro-life Kansas lawmakers and other elected officials are to be commended for passing laws to protect women and the unborn.
