Washington, D.C. –The national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) issued the following statement in response to tonight’s vice presidential debate:
“Once again, when asked directly whether she supports packing the Supreme Court, Kamala Harris refused to answer,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Vice President Pence rightly called her out on her dodge, as well as her extremism on abortion. Pence articulated the stakes of this election in the starkest terms possible: Biden and Harris will force taxpayers to pay for abortion on demand through birth and pack the Court. The American people reject their radical agenda.”
A Morning Consult-Politico poll released this morning finds support for Amy Coney Barrett growing, with 46% of voters agreeing that the Senate should confirm Barrett, with just 31% in opposition. The same poll found by a 2-1 margin that voters oppose adding more justices to the Supreme Court.
