In response to news that the Orange County District Attorney has charged two companies with profiting from the sale of fetal tissue, Susan B. Anthony List president Marjorie Dannenfelser released the following statement:
“This suit vindicates the brave whistleblowers of the Center for Medical Progress and every pro-life American who demanded the nation’s largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood, and their partners in the harvest and sale of baby body parts be held accountable. DaVinci Biosciences and DV Biologics could not have profited off of the sale of babies’ hearts, livers, brains, and more if Planned Parenthood had not supplied them. Further, the Center for Medical Progress alleges that Planned Parenthood also profited from the sale of fetal organs in the form of donations made back to the abortion provider from DaVinci Biosciences. (See Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernadino County’s annual report, page 10.)
“We are especially glad the District Attorney is prosecuting these companies at a time when Planned Parenthood has joined forces with the state of California to censor its critics. There should be justice in California and we hope other states will follow suit.
“Planned Parenthood – which has pledged to spend 30 million dollars to elect Hillary Clinton to the White House – enriches itself and bankrolls political allies off the broken bodies of unborn children. As the abortion chain celebrates its 100-year anniversary this weekend, the pro-life movement will be shining a spotlight on this news and other evidence of Planned Parenthood’s 100 years of abuse. Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger believed in the elimination of certain people she considered “human weeds.” In keeping with that cornerstone philosophy, today Planned Parenthood allegedly profits off the so-called weeds they are eliminating. That this corrupt organization receives half a billion dollars in taxpayer funding annually is outrageous, and must be stopped.”
