Washington, D.C. – This morning the national pro-life organization Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) announced its endorsement of Rebecca Negron, who is running for Congress in Florida’s 18th District. The seat is being vacated by Democratic Rep. Patrick Murphy.
“We are proud to endorse Rebecca Negron, who has been a strong advocate for unborn babies and their mothers for more than a decade in the delivery room as a nurse. We need her fearless leadership in Washington, where she will make a great addition to the Congressional Pro-life Women’s Caucus,” said Vice President of Government Affairs Marilyn Musgrave. “We know we can count on Rebecca to defend the value of every human life as well as the conscience rights of pro-life Americans.”
Rebecca Negron welcomed the endorsement saying, “I am thrilled to receive the endorsement of Susan B. Anthony List. I look forward to working with them to keep building a culture where every life is considered a precious gift and protected under the law.”
Negron and her husband, state Senate President Joe Negron, have three children. She has 15 years’ experience as an obstetrics nurse.
SBA List’s Florida field team, a ground operation of 110 canvassers, has knocked on more than 200,000 doors during this election cycle.
The Susan B. Anthony List and its Political Action Committees, the SBA List Candidate Fund and Women Speak Out PAC, spent $16.71 million in the 2014 election cycle to defeat pro-abortion incumbents and elect pro-life candidates to federal and statewide office. The SBA List is dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion.
