Longtime Pro-life Leader Recognized for Excellence in Public Policy
Washington, D.C. – Today the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) celebrates its State Policy Director, Sue Liebel as the recipient of the Daniel Award for Excellence in Pro-Life Public Policy, issued by Allen County (IN) Right to Life. A native Hoosier, Sue has worked tirelessly over the years to promote pro-life policies in Indiana as well as state legislatures across the nation. She has been recognized nationally for her passionate pro-life advocacy.
“I am honored and humbled to receive the Daniel Award,” said Liebel. “I’m blessed to serve on the right to life team and to continue to serve my Lord to save His precious babies and their families. I will never stop.”
“Sue’s efforts to save the most vulnerable from the scourge of abortion are truly heroic,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “As SBA List’s state policy director, she has traveled the country fighting alongside our local allies to enact pro-life laws. The Daniel Award is meant to recognize the extraordinary effort of a public servant in standing for life, regardless of the political, personal, or professional cost. Sue has been instrumental in promoting pro-life policy in her home state of Indiana, lobbying for the Dignity for the Unborn Act, bans on dismemberment abortions, discriminatory abortions, improved informed consent laws, and more. Her commitment to the pro-life cause continues to save children and their families from the tragedy of abortion each day.
“There is no one more deserving of this recognition than Sue,” said Indiana Right to Life President and CEO Mike Fichter. “For nearly two decades she has fought hard battles in the Indiana Statehouse to protect women and babies from abortion, and there are undoubtedly tens of thousands of babies alive today because of the sacrifices Sue has made.
