Washington, D.C. – Today Susan B. Anthony List’s Candidate Fund PAC announced its endorsement of Theresa Gavarone (R) for Congress in Ohio’s 9th District.
“Theresa Gavarone is a champion of commonsense protections for moms and babies and we are excited to endorse her,” said Hon. Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s vice president of government affairs. “Ohioans deserve leaders who stand up for their values, in contrast to pro-abortion Democrats who continually side with the radical abortion lobby. Theresa co-sponsored legislation to save the lives of unborn children with beating hearts and newborns who survive failed abortions, as well as to safeguard women’s health against dangerous mail-order abortion drugs. At a time when countless lives are at stake and the voices of strong pro-life women in Congress are more important than ever, we’re excited to send Theresa Gavarone to Washington and encourage all Ohioans to support her in the primary on May 3.”
Gavarone has served in the Ohio Senate since 2019 after serving for three years in the state House. Previously she was a member of the Bowling Green City Council. She is also endorsed by Ohio Right to Life and is a strong supporter of local pregnancy centers that provide compassionate assistance to women and families. Gavarone is a practicing attorney, and she and her husband Jim own Mr. Spots restaurant in Bowling Green. They have three children and live in Huron.
