Washington, D.C. – Today Susan B. Anthony List’s Candidate Fund PAC announced its endorsement of Erin Houchin (R) for Congress in Indiana’s 9th District.
“Erin Houchin is a longtime leader in the fight for unborn children and their mothers and a member of our National Pro-Life Caucus. We couldn’t be prouder to endorse her for Congress,” said Hon. Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s vice president of government affairs. “During her time in the state Senate, Erin championed legislation to stop lethal discrimination against children in the womb and many other life-saving initiatives. As we await a decision in the landmark Dobbs Supreme Court case, she has worked to further modernize Indiana’s laws in line with Hoosiers’ values. Strong, tried-and-true pro-life women leaders like Erin are needed now more than ever to stand up to the radical abortion lobby in Washington and their agenda of abortion on demand, paid for by taxpayers, up to birth. We encourage all Hoosiers who want to protect babies and mothers to support her on May 3.”
Houchin served in the Indiana Senate from 2014-2022 and was a member of SBA List’s National Pro-Life Women’s Caucus. Previously she served as southeast Indiana regional director for U.S. Senator Dan Coats and was a governor’s appointee to the Indiana Commission for Women. She is the founder and president of Contend Communications. She and her husband Dustin live in Salem with their three children. They are active members of Mount Tabor Christian Church.
