SBA List Releases Interviews with RNC Chair Candidates on Life, Marriage

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) released its first round of interviews with candidates for Chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC).  Interviews with RNC Chair candidates Saul Anuzis, Gentry Collins and Reince Priebus can be viewed here www.sbaprolife.org/RNCChair and kick off the SBA List’s plans to interview candidates via Skype in advance of the January 3 debate being co-sponsored by Americans for Tax Reform (ATR), the SBA List and the Daily Caller.  (Details on the debate below.)

“It is critical that the party chairman affirm the Right to Life in principle and operationally,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “We will share these interviews with more than 500,000 grassroots activists and donors.  They will, in turn, communicate their own views on the candidates to the 168 voting members of the RNC.  We look forward to the day when potential Democratic Party chairmen engage in the same process with the SBA List.”

Conducted by SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser and American Principles Project (APP) Board Member and National Organization for Marriage (NOM) Chair Maggie Gallagher, the interviews cover four questions about candidates’ positions on Life and traditional marriage and plans to integrate those priorities as RNC Chairman.  The interviews will be sent to 500,000 socially conservative grassroots activists, encouraging them to vote for questions addressing the Life issue on RNCDebate.org and ask local RNC members to elect a chairman who will provide pro-life leadership in the Republican Party.

On January 3, 2011, the SBA List will also co-sponsor a debate with Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) and the Daily Caller in which candidates will share their stances on Life and traditional marriage and plans to integrate those priorities as RNC Chair.  The event will take place in the Ballroom of the National Press Club and stream live online at RNCdebate.org between 1:00pm and 2:30pm ET.
