Pro-life canvassing team has already knocked 800,000 doors in FL, NC, OH
Washington, D.C. – The national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) announced today that it has expanded its canvassing efforts to the state of Missouri and will spend $500,000 before Election Day to elect Senator Roy Blunt and gubernatorial candidate Eric Greitens. The group plans to make 250,000 voter contacts in Missouri over the next few weeks through mail, digital advertising, and knocking 25,000 doors to turn out the pro-life base.
The canvassing team of nearly 700 pro-life activists has already hit nearly 800,000 doors to defeat Hillary Clinton and Senate candidates in the battleground states of Florida, North Carolina, and Ohio. This independent campaign is a joint effort of SBA List and its super PAC, Women Speak Out.
“Our ground operation is an unprecedented effort to flex the political muscle of the pro-life movement and defend our allies when they need it most. The race in Missouri is critical to maintain our pro-life majority in the U.S. Senate, so we’re expanding our existing campaign to help Sen. Blunt. His opponent, Jason Kander, is an extremist who would rubberstamp Hillary Clinton’s plan to overturn the longstanding, bipartisan Hyde Amendment and force taxpayers to fund late-term abortion on-demand,” said SBA List president Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Missouri is one of the most pro-life states in the nation. That’s why we’re also helping Eric Greitens to defeat pro-abortion Chris Koster. Koster and Kander, like Hillary Clinton, support abortion on-demand up until the moment of birth, paid for by taxpayers. Their position is profoundly unpopular – even among members of their own party.”
In 2014, Susan B. Anthony List and Women Speak Out knocked on more than half a million doors in North Carolina, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Kansas by Election Day.
