Washington, D.C. – Today the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) announced its endorsement of Representative Randy Hultgren for re-election in Illinois’14th Congressional District.
“Susan B. Anthony List is proud to endorse Representative Randy Hultgren, a stalwart leader in the Congressional Pro-Life Caucus,” said former congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “Rep. Hultgren has co-sponsored nearly a dozen pro-life bills during his time in office, including legislation to end late-term abortions, protect babies who survive failed abortions, defend the rights of pro-life health care workers, and stop taxpayer funding of the abortion industry. Unlike his opponent Lauren Underwood, an extremist backed by EMILY’s List and Planned Parenthood, Rep. Hultgren will stand up to the abortion lobby and fight for the taxpayers of Illinois. We encourage pro-life voters to support him and look forward to seeing him re-elected.”
Randy Hultgren, a lifelong resident of the Chicago area, has represented the 14th District in Congress since 2011. He served in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1998-2007 and in the Illinois Senate from 2007-2011. Hultgren is a co-sponsor of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, the No Taxpayer Funding of Abortion Act, and the Conscience Protection Act. He is a member of the Pro-Life Caucus and the Values Action Team. He and his wife Christy have four children and reside in Plano, Illinois.
