Washington, D.C. – Today the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) announced its endorsement of Lena Epstein for U.S. House of Representatives in Michigan’s 11th congressional district.
“We are pleased to endorse Lena Epstein, a longtime pro-life advocate and an experienced leader in her community,” said former U.S. Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “Lena’s fresh voice stands out against career politicians whose extremism on abortion is disastrously out of step with Michigan voters. She has the courage and conviction to stand up to the abortion lobby. Her strong work ethic and her passionate dedication to women, children, and families will be a tremendous asset in Congress.”
Lena Epstein accepted the endorsement saying:
“I take pride in being endorsed by Susan B. Anthony List. Voters have had enough of politicians who fail to protect innocent children and mothers from the violence of abortion. I am committed to the pro-life agenda that brought countless Americans to the polls for President Trump and look forward to fighting on behalf of the vulnerable and the forgotten in Washington.”
Epstein, a graduate of Harvard University and the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, is a third-generation co-owner of southeast Michigan-based Vesco Oil Corporation. She was appointed by Governor Rick Snyder to the Michigan Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board in 2012 and also serves on the boards of the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Detroit Historical Society and the Community Foundation of Southeast Michigan. In 2016 she co-chaired the Donald Trump Michigan Presidential Campaign. She and her husband have a newborn daughter.
