Washington, D.C. –  Today the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) announced its endorsement of Cynthia Dunbar for U.S. House of Representatives in Virginia’s sixth congressional district.

“We are proud to endorse Cynthia Dunbar, who exemplifies the courageous pro-life, pro-woman leadership SBA List exists to support,” said former U.S. Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “As a delegate to the 2016 Republican National Convention, she worked to craft the strongest pro-life platform in the Republican Party’s history. She is deeply committed to ending late-term abortion and taxpayer funding of America’s largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood. We trust Cynthia to spearhead the fight for life in Congress and urge pro-life Virginians to unite behind her.”

Cynthia Dunbar accepted the endorsement saying:

“I am deeply humbled to receive Susan B. Anthony List’s endorsement. Their recognition of my commitment to ending the devastation of abortion is a huge honor. Virginia women, children, and families have suffered for too long under extreme pro-abortion politicians. I will never stop fighting to restore the foundational human rights of all Americans, born and unborn.”

Dunbar is the RNC National Committeewoman for Virginia, Vice President of the Day of Tears, and a former community board member of Source for Women. Previously she was a Professor of law at Liberty University School of Law for four years.

Susan B. Anthony List and its partner super PAC, Women Speak Out spent more than $18 million in the 2016 election cycle, knocking on more than 1.1 million doors in battleground states to defeat Hillary Clinton and maintain a pro-life Senate. SBA List is dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women.  The SBA List is a network of more than 630,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
