SBA List Endorses Authentic, Pro-life Feminist for Nevada Senate

WASHINGTON – Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national pro-life political action committee, announced its endorsement of Sharron Angle, candidate for U.S. Senate in Nevada.  SBA List Candidate Fund President Marjorie Dannenfelser said of the endorsement:

“No one more than Sharron Angle exemplifies frontier feminism – authentic, pro-life feminism that puts the ‘feminine’ back in the word.  We are proud to put our political machine – built for the purpose of supporting women like Sharron – behind her race to beat Senator Harry Reid.”

Referencing Reid’s infamous leadership in support of the pro-abortion health care bill, Dannenfelser said of his November showdown with Angle, “What a great contrast: freshness and authenticity versus good old boy opportunism.

Before the health care vote, the SBA List spent $150,000 on television ads and voter calls to pressure Senator Reid to stop calling himself “pro-life” at home then voting another way in the U.S. Senate.  The television ad can be seen here.  The SBA List has committed $1 million in voter education and mobilization efforts to unseat Harry Reid.

“Sharron Angle is poised to unseat the leader of the Senate and the key proponent of Obama’s health care plan that included taxpayer funding of abortion.  We applaud Nevada voters for taking steps to support authentic, pro-life feminism with last night’s vote.”

“Now more than ever, we need pro-woman, pro-life leadership.  Sharron Angle will help to usher in the year of the pro-life woman and win back critical margins in the Senate.”

The Susan B. Anthony List plans to spend $6 million on voter education in the midterm elections, including $3 million on key Senate races.  The Susan B. Anthony List is a nationwide network of over 280,000 Americans, residing in all 50 states, dedicated to mobilizing, advancing, and representing pro-life women in politics.  Its connected Candidate Fund increases the percentage of pro-life women in the political process.
