SBA List-Endorsed Jackie Walorski Wins in IN-02

WASHINGTON, D.C.Tonight, the national pro-life Susan B. Anthony List claimed victory with Jackie Walorski’s win in Indiana’s 2nd Congressional District.

“Jackie Walorski is exactly the type of candidate the Susan B. Anthony List exists to support,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “A longtime pro-life leader in the Indiana State House, Jackie has been an outspoken and passionate advocate for unborn children, their mothers, and pro-life taxpayers. We are thrilled with her victory tonight knowing that Jackie will bring that same passion and leadership with her to Washington.”

The SBA List Candidate Fund and SBA List members nationwide contributed a total of $17,000 in direct and bundled donations to Jackie Walorski’s campaign. Leading up to Election Day, the SBA List also mobilized its Indiana members and activists to get out the vote for Jackie Walorski.

As an Indiana State representative, Walorski added an amendment to a Hate Crimes Bill that would have added unborn children to the list of protected classes. Jackie also fought to defund Planned Parenthood of Indiana when a clinic was accused of failing to report statutory rape. She was first endorsed by the SBA List Candidate Fund in 2010.

During the 2012 election cycle, the Susan B. Anthony List spent $11.2 million nationwide to accomplish three goals: 1) ensure the presidential challenger made specific pro-life commitments, 2) combat the “war on women” narrative, and 3) expose the extreme abortion agenda of President Obama and the Democratic Party of abortion on-demand paid for by the taxpayers.

The Susan B. Anthony List, and its affiliated Political Action Committees, the SBA List Candidate Fund and Women Speak Out PAC, are dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates that will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List will emphasize the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women. The SBA List is a network of more than 365,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
