Pro-life Canvassers Visited 562,000+ Indiana Voters to Expose Donnelly’s Record on Abortion
Washington, D.C. – Tonight the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) celebrated as Mike Braun defeated incumbent Senator Joe Donnelly in the race for U.S. Senate in Indiana. The group’s field team of 154 canvassers visited more than 562,000 Indiana voters to expose Senator Donnelly’s record on abortion. Additionally, SBA List held 11 in-state media events, reached 409,200 voters through persuasive voter contact mail, and made 122,686 live voter calls.
“Tonight Hoosier voters sent a strong message to their elected leaders: if you claim to be pro-life, you need to vote that way. Sen. Donnelly had a long history of claiming to be pro-life while betraying his constituents on important votes – and tonight pro-life voters delivered victory to Mike Braun,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “SBA List’s field team was on the ground early in Indiana. Since July of 2017 our canvassers have visited more than 562,000 voters who don’t always get to the polls, educating them about Senator Donnelly’s awful record and the importance of this election for unborn children and their mothers. Donnelly’s pro-life constituents were dismayed by his vote to block Justice Brett Kavanaugh and stunned to learn that he had voted to send tax dollars to America’s largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood. SBA List congratulates Mike Braun and all Hoosiers, who are sending a senator to Washington who truly reflects their pro-life values.”
SBA List’s field team of more than 1,100 canvassers visited 2.7 million voters this election cycle across the battleground states of Indiana, Missouri, North Dakota, Montana, Florida, Ohio, West Virginia, Arizona, and Tennessee. SBA List held three press tours in Indiana to urge Sen. Donnelly to vote to confirm each of President Trump’s Supreme Court nominees, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, and to announce the field program.
