WASHINGTON, D.C.Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national pro-life political action committee, announced its endorsement of U.S. Representative Tim Walberg for Michigan’s 7th congressional district.

“Congressman Walberg has been a strong defender of women and the unborn.  We are proud to endorse his re-election bid,” said SBA List Candidate Fund President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Most recently, Congressman Walberg voted to end taxpayer funding of abortion and to limit abortions after five months, or more than halfway through pregnancy. This compassionate, modest legislation is supported by the majority of Americans – women in higher numbers than men.”

“When it comes to defending life, Rep. Walberg’s opponent, Pam Byrnes, could not be more out of step with Michigan voters. Byrnes is backed by EMILY’s List, an extreme organization that advocates for taxpayer-funded abortion on demand, for any reason, up to the moment of birth – even gruesome late abortions.”

While serving in the U.S Congress, Rep. Walberg has earned a 100 pro-life rating from the National Right to Life Committee. He is also the recipient of the 2008 Life Award from Michigan Right to Life.

The Susan B. Anthony List and its affiliated Political Action Committees, the SBA List Candidate Fund and Women Speak Out PAC, are dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women at all levels of government.  The SBA List is a network of more than 365,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
