WASHINGTON – Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national pro-life political action committee, announced their endorsement of Pam Bondi, candidate for Attorney General in Florida. Marjorie Dannenfelser, Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund President, commented on the endorsement:
“This year Attorneys General races are a top priority for the pro-life movement. Pam Bondi’s eighteen years of experience as a prosecutor make her an exceptionally qualified woman to defend the pro-woman, pro-life legal position—especially when it comes to abortion funding in healthcare.
“The earliest women in politics would never have called abortion ‘healthcare.’ In fact, feminists like Susan B. Anthony fought abortion at every step in their effort to advance the rights of women.”
“Not only is Pam Bondi an articulate and accomplished candidate, she understands how to win, and we look forward to celebrating her victory on November 5th.”
Former Assistant State Attorney Pam Bondi will challenge former Health Secretary Holly Benson, Lt. Governor Jeff Kottkamp, and Jim Lewis in the Republican primary on August 31. The winner will then face either Dave Aronberg or Dan Gelber in the general election.
Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund endorsements are promoted to the organization’s nationwide membership of over 280,000 Americans. The SBA List Candidate Fund endorses pro-life female candidates, as well as pro-life male candidates who run against female candidates in favor of abortion rights. In 2008, the SBA List Candidate Fund raised over $1 million.
The Susan B. Anthony List is a nationwide network of over 280,000 Americans, residing in all 50 states, dedicated to mobilizing, advancing, and representing pro-life women in politics. Its connected Candidate Fund increases the percentage of pro-life women in the political process
