Washington, D.C. – Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund announced its endorsement of Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch for re-election in Wisconsin.
“Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch is an unwavering advocate for life. She and pro-life Governor Scott Walker make an outstanding team,” said former congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “Rebecca takes great pride in Wisconsin’s progress in protecting unborn children and their mothers over the years, including legislation signed by Governor Scott that redirects millions of dollars a year in taxpayer funds away from Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion business. She is leading the charge to safeguard the innocent and vulnerable. Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund is proud to endorse Rebecca Kleefisch for re-election and we look forward to her victory in November.”
Rebecca Kleefisch was elected lieutenant governor of Wisconsin in 2010. Previously she was a reporter and news anchor for WISN-TV in Milwaukee before she left television to focus on her family. She received Susan B. Anthony List’s Distinguished Leader Award at the group’s 2013 Campaign for Life Gala. In 2017 she was the opening speaker at the 47th annual National Right to Life Convention in Milwaukee.
Lt. Gov. Kleefisch is the mother of two daughters, Ella and Violet, and lives in Concord with her husband, State Representative Joel Kleefisch.
Susan B. Anthony List and its partner super PAC, Women Speak Out spent more than $18 million in the 2016 election cycle, visiting more than 1.1 million homes in battleground states to defeat Hillary Clinton and maintain a pro-life Senate. SBA List is dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women. SBA List is a network of more than 690,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
