WASHINGTON, DC – Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national pro-life political action committee, announced its endorsement of Jaime Herrera, candidate for U.S. Representative in Washington’s 3rd congressional district.
“Washington and all American women deserve the pro-life feminine leadership Jaime Herrera so capably provides,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the SBA List Candidate Fund. “Herrera’s commitment to rescind taxpayer funding of abortion in health care and in every aspect of federal spending is urgently needed in the coming Congress.
“A new women’s movement which affirms its original pro-life roots is making its way to the House of Representatives, and Herrera is one of its brightest new stars.”
Jaime Herrera is currently serving Washington as a State Representative for the 18th District. She is a former staffer for House Pro-Life Caucus member Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-05) who has also endorsed her candidacy. Herrera has signed an “amicus curiae” brief in support of pharmacists who “chose not to carry or dispense medication that can end the life of an unborn baby.”
Ms. Herrera will face Chris Boyd, David Castillo, David Hedrick and State Sen. Joe Zarelli in the August 17th Republican primary.
