Washington, D.C. – Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund announced its endorsement of Brian Kemp for governor of Georgia.
“Brian Kemp is an unflinching pro-life champion and will make an excellent governor. Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund is proud to endorse him,” said former congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “Brian has the vision to make Georgia a national leader in protecting unborn children and their mothers and the courage to stand up to the abortion lobby. Radical pro-abortion groups that back Brian’s opponent know their extreme agenda will go nowhere with him at the Capitol. In contrast, Stacey Abrams is dramatically out of step with the values of this deeply pro-life state. We encourage Georgia voters to support Brian Kemp and we look forward to his victory in November.”
Brian Kemp has served as Georgia’s secretary of state since 2010, when he was appointed by Governor Sonny Perdue to succeed Karen Handel. He was later elected to the position in 2010 and reelected in 2014. Previously, he served in the state senate from 2003 to 2007.
Kemp is a small businessman with companies in real estate development, construction, manufacturing, farming, and agri-business. Brian, his wife Marty, and their three daughters live in Athens, Georgia.
