Washington, DC ─ Today, the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national pro-life Political Action Committee, announced additional congressional candidate endorsements for the 2012 election cycle:

Karen Harrington (FL-20)
Mia Love (UT-04)
Alecia Webb-Edgington (KY-04)

“With their unique backgrounds in business, public service, and law enforcement, Karen Harrington, Mia Love, and Alecia Webb-Edgington are models of successful pro-woman, pro-life leadership,” said SBA List Candidate Fund President Marjorie Dannenfelser.  “They are exactly the type of candidates that voters are looking to elect this fall.”

“These ladies understand that the real ‘war on women’ is the one being waged against women of faith and conscience by the Obama administration, its allies in Congress, and the abortion-lobby,” continued Dannenfelser. “They will fight back. The SBA List Candidate Fund is proud to endorse these women and we look forward to seeing them grow the ranks of the Pro-life Women’s Caucus.”

This week the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund also endorsed Sarah Steelman for U.S. Senate against EMILY’s List Senator Claire McCaskill. A complete list of this year’s endorsed candidates can be found at: https://sbaprolife.org/endorsed-candidates.

During the 2010 election cycle, SBA List spent $11 million and was involved in 90 races, 62 of which resulted in victories. Successes included: defeating 15 of 20 so-called “pro-life” Democrats who voted for abortion funding in the health care reform bill, increasing the number of pro-life women in the House by 70 percent, filling the void of pro-life women in the U.S. Senate and increasing the number of pro-life women governors from one to four.

The Susan B. Anthony List, and its connected Political Action Committee, the SBA List Candidate Fund, are dedicated to electing candidates and pursuing policies that will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List will emphasize the election, education, promotion, and mobilization of pro-life women. The SBA List is a network of over 365,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
