SBA List Team Has Visited 120,000+ Homes in Statewide Canvassing Effort to Expose Donnelly’s Abortion Extremism

Washington, D.C.  – The national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) today congratulated Mike Braun on winning the Republican primary for U.S. Senate in Indiana. Braun will face Senator Joe Donnelly in the general election.

“We congratulate Mike Braun on his victory and are encouraged that a strong pro-life candidate will take on Senator Donnelly this November,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Donnelly claims to be pro-life, but he has a history of betrayal on important pro-life votes, including voting to send tax dollars to America’s largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood. His record is dramatically out of step with his constituents. SBA List’s field team has spent months visiting voters at their homes, educating them about Donnelly’s extremism and the importance of this election for unborn children and their mothers. We will be on the ground every day until the election, reaching out to pro-life voters who don’t always get to the polls, as well as persuadable Democrats, Independents, and Hispanic voters. Hoosiers deserve better, and Donnelly will be held accountable at the ballot box.”

SBA List has more than 110 pro-life canvassers in Indiana and announced today its field team has visited more than 120,000 homes to educate and mobilize voters for the 2018 midterm election. Overall this cycle SBA List canvassers have knocked on 800,000 doors across the battleground states of Indiana, Ohio, Florida, and Missouri as part of a historic GOTV effort to reach two million homes by Election Day.

Earlier this year Sue Swayze Liebel, lobbyist and Indiana State Chair for Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List), as well as international pro-life speaker Jill Stanek, a former nurse, now SBA List’s National Campaign Chair addressed a crowd of more than 50 pro-life activists gathered outside Senator Joe Donnelly’s Hammond office to draw attention to his record on abortion.

Susan B. Anthony List and its partner super PAC, Women Speak Out spent more than $18 million in the 2016 election cycle, visiting more than 1.1 million homes in battleground states to defeat Hillary Clinton and maintain a pro-life Senate. SBA List is dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women. SBA List is a network of more than 630,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
