SBA List Canvassers Have Visited 800,000+ Battleground State Homes to Expose Incumbent Senators’ Abortion Extremism, With Plans to Expand
Washington, D.C. – The national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) today congratulated state Attorney General Patrick Morrisey on winning the Republican primary for U.S. Senate in West Virginia. Morrisey will face Senator Joe Manchin in the general election.
“We congratulate Attorney General Morrisey on his victory and are encouraged that a strong pro-life candidate will take on Senator Manchin this November,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Manchin claims to be pro-life, but he has a history of betrayal on important pro-life votes, including voting to send tax dollars to America’s largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood. His record is dramatically out of step with his constituents.
“SBA List’s field team has spent months on the ground in key battleground states, visiting voters at their homes, educating them about their senator’s extremism and the importance of this election for unborn children and their mothers. We will be active in West Virginia through Election Day, reaching out to pro-life voters who don’t always get to the polls, as well as persuadable Democrats, Independents, and Hispanic voters. West Virginians deserve better, and Manchin will be held accountable at the ballot box.”
SBA List’s field team of more than 440 pro-life canvassers has visited more than 800,000 homes in the battleground states of Ohio, Indiana, Florida, and Missouri, with plans to expand, as part of a historic effort to educate and mobilize voters for the 2018 midterm election. SBA List canvassers are on track to reach two million homes by Election Day.
