Tyson is a Courageous Advocate for Unborn Children and Their Mothers
Washington, D.C. – Today the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) announced its endorsement of state senator Caryn Tyson for Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins’ open seat in Kansas’ second congressional district. Tyson is part of SBA List’s first round of endorsed candidates in the 2018 cycle.
“We are proud to endorse Caryn Tyson, a courageous leader who exemplifies the deeply pro-life values of Kansas,” said former U.S. Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “Caryn has fought to stop taxpayer funding of America’s largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood, and end brutal dismemberment abortions at the state level. We are eager to see her elected to Congress to advocate for unborn children and their mothers on a national stage.”
Caryn Tyson accepted the endorsement saying:
“I am honored to be endorsed by Susan B. Anthony List, an organization that works tirelessly to save innocent lives. Washington needs strong pro-life voices who are not afraid to challenge the status quo. I am committed to protecting the most vulnerable, regardless of age or development.”
Tyson has served in the Kansas legislature since 2011. She has sponsored legislation to ban dismemberment abortions and redirect taxpayer funding away from Planned Parenthood to comprehensive health care alternatives. Tyson is a fifth generation Kansan. She has worked in the IT field for over 24 years.
Susan B. Anthony List and its partner super PAC, Women Speak Out spent more than $18 million in the 2016 election cycle, knocking on more than 1.1 million doors in battleground states to defeat Hillary Clinton and maintain a pro-life Senate. SBA List is dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women. The SBA List is a network of more than 600,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
