Planned Parenthood and the Abortion Industry Push for Abortion on Demand Until Birth

Washington, D.C.A federal judge has sided with Planned Parenthood in blocking a Michigan law that would protect unborn children and mothers if Roe v Wade is overturned and abortion policy returns to the people and their elected lawmakers. The law also guards against selling or advertising dangerous abortion drugs, which are driving a 500% increase in the rate of abortion-related ER visits since the early 2000s.

The national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) slammed the judge’s order, saying:

“The abortion lobby led by Planned Parenthood constantly runs to the courts to impose its unpopular agenda of abortion on demand up to birth,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “In this egregious case, Judge Gleicher is a donor to Planned Parenthood. Michigan’s pro-life laws would save nearly 30,000 unborn babies a year and safeguard Michigan mothers from dangerous abortion pills in the event that the U.S. Supreme Court gets out of the business of making policy on abortion. A majority of Americans agree these decisions should be made by the people through their elected lawmakers, not by judges.”

Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization is a case involving a Mississippi law that limits abortion after 15 weeks. The Supreme Court will address the constitutionality of pre-viability limits. Science shows unborn children can feel pain by 15 weeks if not earlier. Public opinion polls consistently show that the strong majority of Americans reject abortion extremism.

SBA List is a network of 900,000 pro-life Americans nationwide, dedicated to ending abortion by electing national leaders and advocating for laws that save lives, with a special calling to promote pro-life women leaders.
