SBA List’s Dannenfelser: All of America Has Heard Testimony, Now Kavanaugh Deserves a Vote
Washington, D.C. – Following today’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, this evening Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) President Marjorie Dannenfelser released the following statement:
“The Senate Judiciary Committee – and all of America – has now heard directly from Dr. Ford as well as Judge Kavanaugh. We thank Sen. Grassley and his staff for organizing today’s hearing. Now is the time to vote,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “President Trump made a promise to appoint strong and fair judges, who will respect the Constitution and interpret the law, not legislate from the bench. He first delivered on that promise by nominating Neil Gorsuch, and now he’s done it again with another fair and independent judge in Brett Kavanaugh. Senator Durbin suggested that his colleagues up for election this year should be willing to ignore the will of their constituents rather than support the President’s nominee – but with grassroots support for Judge Kavanaugh remaining strong in key battleground states, vulnerable senators do so at their political peril. Judge Kavanaugh deserves a vote immediately.”
Dannenfelser was present at today’s hearing. SBA List and the Pro-life Court Coalition have made more than 30 stops across 7 states in the last two months rallying grassroots support for Judge Kavanaugh and urging Senate Democrats to vote to confirm him to the Supreme Court.
