Washington, D.C. – Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) canvassers knocked on more than 300,000 doors in the Senate battleground states of Indiana, Florida, Missouri, and Ohio before the end of 2017, the group announced today. The more than 200-person field team is on track to meet its goal of reaching 2 million voters at their doors by Election Day 2018.
SBA List is focusing on low-turnout pro-life voters, including persuadable Democrats and Hispanics, in a historic, nationwide GOTV effort to protect the pro-life Senate majority elected in 2016 and defeat pro-abortion candidates.
“During the 2016 election cycle, SBA List worked with local pro-life allies to reach more than 1.1 million voters at their doors in key battleground states in our largest get-out-the-vote campaign ever,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “This cycle, our field team was on the ground early with the ambitious goal of reaching twice as many unreliable pro-life voters – including persuadable Democrats and Hispanics – nationwide. We are educating voters about their Senators’ support for taxpayer-funded abortion on-demand, a profoundly unpopular position that a vast majority of Americans reject. Thanks to our dedicated, hardworking field team, we are well on our way to achieving that goal with more than 300,000 doors knocked to date. Pro-abortion Senators in states carried by President Trump should be concerned. Their extreme record is a serious political liability with their pro-life constituents.”
SBA List’s 2018 campaign launched last July in Ohio and Florida and later expanded to Missouri and Indiana. Additional states may be added as the election continue. During the 2016 election cycle, SBA List canvassers knocked on more than 1.1 million doors in five battleground states.
