Washington, D.C. – In response to Democratic presidential candidate Mayor Pete Buttigieg on Klopfer’s house of horrors, Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) President Marjorie Dannenfelser released the following statement:
“Pete Buttigieg’s long-awaited response to Ulrich Klopfer’s ‘House of Horrors’ shows a moral failure and a radical commitment to abortion above health, safety and basic human dignity. This same mentality allowed Kermit Gosnell’s crimes to go unchecked for decades. Before Klopfer’s license was finally revoked, he ran three abortion facilities in Indiana, including in South Bend for years on Buttigieg’s watch. Moreover, Buttigieg sided with the abortion lobby in denying space for compassionate, life-affirming pregnancy support and allowing an unlicensed abortion facility connected with one of Klopfer’s associates to operate in his town. The investigation called for immediately by leaders like Congresswoman Jackie Walorski and Vice President Mike Pence is the very least that should happen. Buttigieg’s extremism and refusal to take responsibility for his own back yard proves he is utterly unqualified to lead the nation.”
