This week was another busy and successful one for the Susan B. Anthony List and our media coverage. On Thursday the 26th at The Yale Club in New York City, we hosted an academic panel entitled “A Conversation on Pro-life Feminism.” The panel examined the contention that authentic feminism is pro-life from an intellectual and historical perspective and the exchange could not have been timelier – August 26, 2010, was the 90th anniversary of the day the final state ratification was forwarded to Washington, D.C. and Women’s Suffrage became the 19th amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Nine decades after that historic-event, the 2010 midterm elections are emerging as the “year of the pro-life woman.” (Full video of the panel can be viewed here.)
In addition to regular coverage, the academic panel was featured in a national AP story that was picked up in over 69 outlets including Forbes, MSNBC, Newsday, AOL News, The Huffington Post, and The Washington Post.
