Earlier today, Susan B. Anthony List president Marjorie Dannenfelser attended a private meeting between Donald Trump and faith leaders in New York City. She offered the following comments about the meeting:
“This morning Mr. Trump reiterated the most important pro-life commitment he has made to date: that he would appoint pro-life judges to the U.S. Supreme Court.
“He also spoke about the threats to religious liberty and how the federal government continues to threaten the freedom of speech of Christians to speak out in the public square.
“This is far from the end of the conversation. But it is important the conversation is taking place. Over the next few weeks and months, SBA List will continue to encourage Mr. Trump to reiterate the important commitments he’s made to date:
— Appoint pro-life judges
— Advocate for and sign into law the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act
— Defund America’s #1 abortion business, Planned Parenthood
“For our part we will also continue to educate voters in battleground states about Hillary Clinton’s extreme record on abortion and the unprecedented threat the unborn would face under another Clinton presidency.”
