Washington, D.C. – Today Susan B. Anthony List’s Candidate Fund PAC announced its endorsement of U.S. Representative Blake Moore (R) for re-election in Utah’s 1st Congressional District.
“A father, community leader and adoption advocate, first-term Congressman Blake Moore is an outstanding champion of life. We’re grateful for his voice in Washington and proud to back his re-election,” said Hon. Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s vice president of government affairs. “Rep. Moore is a brick wall for Utah against the Biden-Pelosi agenda of abortion on demand up to birth, paid for by taxpayers. His impassioned floor speech calling out the Democrats’ extremism, with a poignant reference to his own six-month-old unborn child, was a stark reminder of the brutality of abortion and the deeply personal stakes of this battle. Utahns of all stripes have worked hard to enact commonsense protections for women and children and can count on Moore to fight for them. We encourage all delegates to support him at the GOP convention and all pro-life Utahans to vote for him in the primary on June 28.”
Moore and his wife Jane live in Ogden with their four boys. Prior to his time in Congress, he was a principal at Cicero Group and spent much of his career in small business and the foreign service. Previously Moore served on the board of the Utah Adoption Exchange and has supported the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. He and his family are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Moore has earned an A+ on SBA List’s National Pro-Life Scorecard during his first term in Congress and has vocally fought the expansion of abortion on demand and taxpayer funding of abortion. He is a co-sponsor of the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Full Disclosure Act, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, and the Informed Consent Act, and the Support and Value Expectant Moms and Babies Act. He signed the pro-life congressional amicus brief in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, in which the Court will assess whether pre-viability limits on abortion are constitutional.
