Vance Has What It Takes to Defeat Pro-Abortion Extremist Tim Ryan
Washington, D.C. – Today Susan B. Anthony List’s Candidate Fund PAC announced its endorsement of J.D. Vance (R) for U.S. Senate, representing Ohio.
Vance’s Democratic opponent, U.S. Rep Tim Ryan, has earned an F on SBA List’s National Pro-Life Scorecard for his consistent pro-abortion voting record. Ryan is an original co-sponsor of legislation that would insert a right to abortion on demand until birth into federal law and nullify pro-life laws in Ohio and across the country.
“J.D. Vance is a courageous and thoughtful pro-life advocate who has what it takes to defeat extremist Tim Ryan,” said SBA List Candidate Fund President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “J.D.’s life story is one of perseverance and success over adversity, yet he has not lost touch with his roots or his values. He knows the real-world struggles of hardworking families as well as the threats to innocent life coming from Washington. Today’s Democrat elites have forgotten their party once fought for the ‘little guy.’ After two decades in politics, Tim Ryan is no different. Ryan refuses to name a single protection for unborn children he supports, claiming it’s just too complex to figure out. Vance grew up in Middletown, Ohio and is the author of the bestseller “Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis.” After high school, Vance enlisted in the Marine Corps, serving in Iraq before returning stateside to continue his education at the Ohio State University and Yale Law School. He went on to become a successful investor before moving with his family back to Cincinnati, where he co-founded Narya Capital. Vance and his wife Usha have three children.
