2017 Campaign for Life Gala featuring Vice President Michael Pence
Wednesday, May 3, 2017
Thanks to the partnership of so many great friends of life, Susan B. Anthony List launched an unprecedented ground game operation in 2016. Together we visited over one million homes to give the voiceless a voice in the election.
With the election of President Trump and Vice-President Pence, we stand on the cusp of defunding of Planned Parenthood and reversing Roe v. Wade, two immense strides towards our ultimate goal of ending abortion and creating a culture of life in America.
Join us as we gather for our 10th annual gala to celebrate how far we’ve come, how many lives we’ve spared from abortion, and the historic opportunities before us to save even more lives.

Vice President Michael Pence
U.S. Vice President Michael R. Pence was born in Columbus, Indiana, on June 7, 1959, one of six children born to Edward and Nancy Pence. As a young boy he had a front row seat to the American Dream. After his grandfather immigrated to the United States when he was 17, his family settled in the Midwest.
Mike attended Hanover College and the Indiana University McKinney School of Law, where he met his wife, Karen Pence. After losing two bids for a U.S. congressional seat, he became a conservative radio and TV talk show host in the 1990s. Pence successfully ran for Congress in 2000, rising to the powerful position of Republican conference chairman, before being elected governor of Indiana in 2012.
In July 2016, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump selected Pence as his vice presidential running mate. The American people elected President Donald Trump and Vice President Pence on November 8, 2016. President Donald Trump and Vice President Pence entered office on January 20, 2017.
