“It’s a proud moment for a strongly pro-life state like Arizona,” said SBA List State Policy Director Sue Liebel. “This law is a bold stride forward to end lethal discrimination in the womb, safeguard women against the proliferation of dangerous abortion drugs, and protect taxpayers from being forced to fund the abortion industry. At a time when our federal government under the Biden-Harris administration is pushing an extreme anti-life agenda, it’s so encouraging to see state legislatures and leaders like Gov. Ducey taking charge and acting on the will of the people. We thank Gov. Ducey, State Senator Nancy Barto, Cathi Herrod and all our pro-life allies for their dedication to protecting the most vulnerable among us.”
“The Treasure State takes a bold leap today in protecting the most vulnerable, and all Montanans can be proud,” said Sue Liebel, SBA List’s state policy director. “For years, popular pro-life legislation was blocked under the previous governor, a pro-abortion Democrat. Now with pro-life Governor Greg Gianforte in office, Montana is at the forefront of a groundswell of pro-life momentum nationwide. State lawmakers have introduced some 500 pro-life bills this year alone – including the laws signed today to stop late-term abortions after five months of pregnancy, protect women’s right to be informed about their developing child, and safeguard women from the risks of chemical abortion drugs since the Biden-Harris FDA refuses to enforce longstanding safety regulations.
“We thank Gov. Gianforte and the Montana Legislature for acting on the will of the people, and all our local allies for their tireless efforts to get these crucial laws enacted. We hope many additional states will follow their lead.”
“Susan B. Anthony List exists to support pro-life, pro-woman leaders, which is why we are proud to endorse Susan Wright for Texas’s sixth district,” said the Honorable Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s vice president of government affairs. “Susan and her late husband Congressman Ron Wright were united by a dedication to public service throughout his time in office. Faced with overwhelming tragedy, she showed grace and resilience and a commitment to the ideals she and Ron shared. At a time when abortion extremists hold a narrow majority in Congress, Susan will be a fierce advocate for the unborn and their mothers and the values of this district. Life is a deeply personal issue for her, and she will be a welcome addition to the historic class of pro-life women in the 117th Congress.”
“Florida is a strongly pro-life state, and its legislators are right to prioritize babies diagnosed with a disability, who are all too frequently targeted for lethal discrimination before they are given a chance at life outside the womb,” said SBA List State Policy Director Sue Liebel. “We strongly encourage the Florida Senate and Governor Ron DeSantis to follow their lead and be swift in passing and signing this bill into law. We thank Rep. Erin Grall, a member of our National Pro-life Women’s Caucus, for championing this legislation.”
“With pro-life bills spreading like wildfire across the nation, it’s clear that Americans want their legislators to continue to pass life-saving laws that defy the pro-abortion extremism on display in Washington.”
“We’re thrilled that Arizona’s bold pro-life legislation will soon become law,” said SBA List State Policy Director Sue Liebel. “With 400 pro-life bills and counting introduced in states across the country this year, it is clear the Arizona legislature is acting on the will of Arizonans, together with the strong majority of Americans, in prioritizing these protections for the unborn. This includes protecting babies diagnosed with Down syndrome before birth, who are all too frequently targeted for lethal discrimination. What’s more, this bill will stop the abortion industry from turning every post office and pharmacy in Arizona into an abortion center, despite the Biden administration’s recent rollback of FDA safety regulations on these dangerous drugs.
