Vicky Hartzler

Biography

Vicky Hartzler was a public school teacher for 11 years, then served as a Missouri State Representative. During her time in the state legislature, she worked to improve Missouri’s adoption laws.

Since Hartzler was elected to Congress in 2011, she has been a strong advocate for life. She cosponsored the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and voted for No Taxpayer Funding of Abortion. In October 2015, she was appointed to the Energy and Commerce select subcommittee tasked with investigating the practices of the abortion industry including late-term abortion and the trafficking of baby organs. She serves on the House Armed Services Committee, Agriculture Committee, and the House Committee on the Budget.

Hartzler was Chairperson of the Missouri Women’s Council. She is a small business owner with her husband.
