Biography

Mimi Walters was elected to the California State Senate in 2008, representing California’s 37th District. Prior to her service in the state senate, Walters served in the State Assembly, on the Laguna Niguel City Council, and as Mayor of Laguna Niguel. Prior to serving in elected office, Walters spent seven years as an investment executive at a major banking firm.

Walters was elected to congress in 2014, serving on the House Judiciary Committee and House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. She has been consistent in protecting women and unborn children. She voted for the No Taxpayer Funding of Abortion Act and the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. She is actively participating in the House investigation on the atrocities committed by Planned Parenthood. She has tirelessly spoken out and urged her colleagues to vote for pro-life measures.

Congresswoman Walters is the founder of the California Women’s Leadership Association and served on the Board of the National Association of Women Business Owners. She is the proud mother of four children.
