Lynn Fitch


Lynn Fitch has served as state treasurer since 2011, the first Republican woman to hold this position. Previously she served as deputy executive director at the Mississippi Department of Employment Security and as counsel for the Mississippi House of Representatives Ways and Means and Local and Private Legislation Committees and was then named executive director of the Mississippi State Personnel Board by Governor Haley Barbour. Lynn has received prestigious awards and recognition from The Mississippi Bar Association, Governing Magazine, and others. She and her family are active members in their church community, and she serves on the boards of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Goodwill Industries, and the Red Cross.
