Herrera Beutler has represented Washington’s 3rd District in Congress since 2011. Previously she served in the state legislature representing the 18th Legislative District.
Herrera Beutler is a co-sponsor of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. She co-founded the bipartisan Congressional Caucus on Maternity Care, an effort to tackle some of the most pressing challenges facing American mothers. She serves as a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee, successfully helping to defend longstanding pro-life policies and protecting taxpayer dollars from funding abortion. She and her husband Daniel, and their children Abigail, Ethan, and Isana, live in Battle Ground, Washington
