Chris Smith


Congressman Chris Smith was first elected to Congress in 1980 and is recognized as one of the most effective legislators in Congress. He is Co-Chair of the Congressional Pro-Life Caucus, a position he has held throughout his time in office. He co-chaired the Congressional Caucuses on Autism and Spina Bifida, and Human Trafficking, dedicating himself to serving and advancing the causes of the most vulnerable. As Chair of the House Pro-Life Caucus, he led the House Congressional Letter to the President requesting a veto threat on any anti-life legislation. He introduced the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, and is a co-sponsor of the Support and Value Expectant Moms and Babies Act. He has led numerous Congressional efforts to support President Trump's pro-life policy achievements.

Congressman Chris Smith is a lifelong New Jersey resident, currently living in Hamilton, New Jersey, with his wife Marie. Prior to serving in Congress, Rep. Smith was Director of Institutional Sales at his family owned sporting goods company and served as Executive Director of the New Jersey Right to Life Committee.
