As we celebrated Father’s Day yesterday, it brought to mind the fact that fathers are often the forgotten victims of abortion. We know very well that both the child and mother are victims—but what about the father?
There are no laws which give a father the right to prevent the abortion of his own child. This often leaves the father in a seemingly hopeless situation. Sadly, many view a man wanting his child to live as interfering with the mother’s rights. On the other hand, if the father is uninvolved, he is labeled irresponsible.
Ultimately, research proves men suffer from many of the same types of post-abortion negative feelings and conditions as do women. Truly, children, mothers, and fathers are unnecessary victims of abortion.
