Blood Money. Have you heard of it? While news about the film has been in circulation for several months, Blood Money still needs your help to get the latest pro-life movie into theaters nationwide. In a valiant attempt to expose the dark realities of the abortion industry – “This film will examine the history of abortion in America, from the inception of Planned Parenthood and the profitability of abortion clinics, to Roe v. Wade, to the denial of when life begins, to the fight to save the lives of innocent babies, and the devastating effects it has had on the women that have had them.”
The film was set to premier at New York’s Spectrum Theater on May 5th, 2010 but was unexpectedly canceled. TimesUnion.com states that, “Roman Jaquez, a Troy filmmaker and producer of “Blood Money,” said that Keith Pickard, an owner of the Spectrum, called him last week to say that he had canceled the screening after receiving phone calls from people threatening to picket outside the theater if the film was shown.” The same source then contends that “David K. Kyle, director of the film who lives in Maryland, issued this statement: “I find it hypocritical that pro-abortion activists claim to be pro-choice but don’t want the public to have a choice in what films they can watch.”” Hypocrisy at its finest! But for those of you who were hoping to see the film, do not fear, the film will now premier this Friday (May 05/14/2010) at New York’s Madison Theater. Much to the dismay of the pro-abortion picketers whose threats lead to the cancellation of the original premier, the cancellation has actually benefited the film. The TimesUnion.com later stated that: “Instead of four screenings over two days at the Spectrum, it will have 20 screenings over seven at the Madison.” Well done pro-life community, well done!
