Legacy Pro-Life Leaders

Today’s pro-life leaders would be nowhere without the trailblazing efforts of these pro-life women. They have shown their dedication to life through their invovement in the political process. Their work has left an indelible mark in our nation and for that we owe them a great deal of thanks.

Marilyn Musgrave, Former Representative of Colorado’s 4th District
Former Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2003-2008. She helped fight for the passage of the Partial Birth Abortion Ban and was an original cosponsor of the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act. Her greatest legacy is the House Pro-Life Women’s Caucus, of which she was the founding Chairwoman.

Melissa Hart, Former Representative of Pennyslvania’s 4th District
In 2000, Melissa Hart became the first woman to represent Pennsylvania at the national level. She served in the U.S. House of representatives from 2001-2006. In Congress, Hart fought for the unborn and was the leading advocate for mothers and children. Before entering Congress, Hart introduced the nation’s first Safe Haven law in the Pennsylvania State Senate, allowing mothers to leave their babies at secure locations if they felt unable to care for them.

Linda Smith, Former Representative of Washington’s 3rd District
Former Congresswoman Linda Smith served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1995-1998. She avidly fought for the dignity of human life from conception to natural death. She now works to help women by fighting sex trafficking through her organization, Shared Hope International.
