The pro-abortion lobby has asked president-elect Obama to issue a “Presidential directive to the Attorney General to reinvigorate the National Task Force on Violence Against Health Care Providers” in order to make sure state and local laws restricting the non-violent freedom of speech of pro-life activists are enforced, such as bubble zone legislation. Bubble zones around abortion clinics have been initiated in order to prevent pro-life activists from distributing materals educating women about the physical and emotional dangers of abortion and providing them with the addresses and phone numbers of pregnancy care centers as an alternative to seeking an abortion.
