$1 Billion for USAID’s Family Planning Program
Currently, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) receives $461 million for its overseas family planning program. Currently, USAID is restricted from funding abortion services by several important restrictions. However, if these restrictions are overturned, taxpayer dollars could be funneled through USAID to fund abortion. Pro-Abortion advocates are urging Obama to more than double USAID funding to $1 billion in his first budget submitted to Congress. If key riders and amendments are overturned or ignored, that means access to $1 billion for internatioal abortion providers such as Planned Parenthood International. |
