Fortunately, the outrageous story of the Yale student who supposedly inseminated herself only to later take abortion drugs to induce miscarriages was all a hoax.

A spokeswoman from Yale told the Associated Press, "The entire project is an art piece, a creative fiction designed to draw attention to the ambiguity surrounding form and foundtion of a woman's body."

When University officials investigated further, the student admitted she made the whole story up in as an experiment in performance art. While it is good to learn that this woman did not jeopardize her health with such an experiment, her attitude and callous disregard for human life remains appalling and her tactics questionable.
