Kay Ivey, State Treasurer of Alabama

Kay Ivey was elected in 2002 and re-elected in 2006 as Alabama’s State Treasureer. In her re-election bid, she gained the largest number of votes in a contested race in Alabama history. After two successful terms as State Treasurer, Kay is now setting her sights even higher, and is currently running for Lieutenant Governor of Alabama. As an alumnus of Girls State, she remains dedicated to getting young women involved in the political process.
