Beth Chapman, Secretary of State of Alabama

Beth Chapman was elected in 2006 as Secretary of State in Alabama. As the first woman appointed to serve in the governor’s cabinet as “Appointments Secretary,” she helped with the appointments of various judges and state board and commission officials. Beth also led Alabama’s first campaign against voter fraud, and conducted the largest Presidential Election in Alabama’s history. She is currently running for reelection to the office of Secretary of State.
