Pro-life Field Operation Aims to Expose Orman’s Abortion Extremism

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Pro-life electoral politics hinges on the ability to reach voters personally. That’s why this election cycle pro-life leaders have emphasized a robust ground game as critical to defeating Harry Reid and electing and protecting strong pro-life candidates. Women Speak Out PAC (WSO), a partner of the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List), and Campaign for American Values PAC have been on the ground in Kansas since mid-October and have made more than 73,000 live voter contacts.

“Last month, Women Speak Out PAC expanded our ground campaign to Kansas in order to speak to voters face to face at their door,” said Women Speak Out PAC Kansas State Director Laurie Lee. “We have worked round the clock to reach dedicated pro-life voters as well as those who don’t typically vote in non-presidential elections.

“Kansas voters deserve to know about Greg Orman’s refusal to support even modest pro-life proposals, including stopping abortion after five months – more than halfway through pregnancy and the point at which the unborn child feels excruciating pain,” said Women Speak Out PAC President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Although Orman says he is an independent, he’s made it clear he will side with the abortion lobby if he gets to Washington. He must be defeated and our turnout efforts to could make the difference in this tight race.”

This year Women Speak Out PAC launched the largest ever pro-life door-to-door and phone call effort to impact three races critical to building a Senate majority and kicking Harry Reid out of power. By Election Day, a team of more than 700 field representatives had reached more than 875,000 pro-life voters who typically do not vote in midterm elections. The Susan B. Anthony List and its Political Action Committees, the SBA List Candidate Fund and Women Speak Out PAC, spent $15.25 million in the 2014 election cycle to defeat pro-abortion incumbents and elect pro-life candidates to federal and statewide office. The SBA List is dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women.  The SBA List is a network of more than 365,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
