Gosnell Not Alone in Abortion Facility Abuse

“In Philadelphia and across the nation, the abortion lobby routinely pushes safety concerns and comprehensive women’s health care aside for the sake of ‘choice.’ This hasn’t gone unnoticed by some who have seen firsthand the damage done to women inside America’s abortion clinics. Pro-choice Pennsylvania Representative Margo Davidson, whose cousin died following a botched abortion at Gosnell’s clinic, said that for the abortion industry, ‘the institution [of abortion] was more important than the individual lives.’"

Elective Abortion Coverage Dominates Obamacare Plans for Members of Congress and Staff

“The Obama Administration is clearly breaking longstanding federal law by offering Members of Congress and congressional staff health care plans that include abortion on demand. This is just another example of how Obamacare expands taxpayer funding of abortion, and is sadly another instance of how the President and his Administration misled the American people when Obamacare was being debated by Congress." -- Marjorie Dannenfelser

SBA List Applauds SCOTUS Decision to Review HHS Abortion Drug Mandate

“We applaud the Supreme Court for taking up this case addressing our fundamental freedom of religion and conscience. During the debate over the Affordable Care Act, Americans were assured that these rights would be honored, but as Obamacare is rolled out, we see this is simply not the case. Some former Members of Congress who were the linchpins to its passage now publicly lament voting for the bill, which cost them their job during the 2010 midterm elections."

Reid Uses the Nuclear Option

“Harry Reid and Senate Democrats have flung open the doors to radically pro-abortion nominees who will back President Obama’s abortion expansion agenda. Shame on Senators with strong pro-life constituencies, especially Kay Hagan (D-NC) and Mary Landrieu (D-LA), for voting to overturn a critical element in the democratic process.

Pro-life Momentum Remains Despite Albuquerque Loss

“Months ago, most Albuquerque residents had no idea their city had become a national hub for late abortion. Local pro-life activists took action to educate their neighbors and ended up gathering 27,000 signatures – more than twice the amount necessary – for a city ballot initiative to stop late abortion,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Planned Parenthood and other national pro-abortion groups, including Organizing for America, saw this spontaneous grassroots effort as a mortal threat and spent $1 million to defeat it.

Pro-life Leaders Urge Sen. Mark Pryor to Protect Pain-Capable Unborn Babies

“Arkansans deserve to know where Senator Pryor stands when it comes to protecting unborn children and their mothers from the painful death of abortion more than halfway through pregnancy,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “We urge him to respect life and to respect the pro-life people of Arkansas by supporting this compassionate legislation. The majority of Americans are opposed to brutal, late abortion – and women support this bill in even higher numbers than men. Senator Pryor should do the right thing and protect the weak and vulnerable from pain. It’s one of the most human things we can do.”
