SBA List Releases Pre-debate Interview with RNC Chair Candidate Maria Cino

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) released a Skype interview with Maria Cino, candidate for Republican National Committee (RNC) Chair.  Maria Cino’s interview can be viewed here www.sbaprolife.org/RNCChair along with those of the five other candidates including Saul Anuzis, Gentry Collins (who has since withdrawn his candidacy), Reince Priebus, Ann Wagner and current RNC Chair Michael Steele.  The SBA List has now interviewed all candidates participating in today’s debate being co-sponsored by Americans for Tax Reform (ATR), the SBA List and the Daily Caller.  (Event details below.)

“The next RNC chairman must promote the Right to Life operationally through the next election cycle,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser.  “Today’s debate provides a key opportunity for candidates to articulate how they will leverage the power of the pro-life grassroots to win elections.”

The interviews, conducted by SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser, American Principles Project (APP) Board Member and National Organization for Marriage (NOM) Chair Maggie Gallagher and APP President Frank Cannon, cover candidates’ positions on Life and traditional marriage and plans to promote those values as RNC Chairman.  Over the past three weeks, SBA List and like-minded groups have promoted the interviews to a 500,000-activist grassroots network, encouraging them to vote on questions to be asked at the January debate on RNCDebate.org.  Submissions dealing with the Life and marriage issue have garnered the most votes on the site to date.

Additionally, the SBA List has launched a grassroots Action Center where activists can lobby voting RNC members in their respective states.  The SBA List will also encourage activists to submit questions to be asked at the debate via Twitter.

Today, the SBA List will co-sponsor a debate with Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) and the Daily Caller in which candidates will share their stances on Life and traditional marriage and plans to integrate those priorities as RNC Chair.  The event will take place in the Ballroom of the National Press Club and will broadcast live on C-SPAN.  It will also stream live online at RNCdebate.org and DailyCaller.com between 1:00pm and 2:30pm ET.
